  For complex and rare diseases, multidisciplinary team (MDT) consultations are organized with specialists from three or more disciplines. A general practitioner summarizes the medical records in advance and moderates the consultation, and specialists from the participating disciplines discuss the case together to develop an individualized, comprehensive treatment plan. Through a direct specialist access platform established by the hospital with advanced overseas medical institutions, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, USA, and Mount Sinai Hospital, USA, opinions from international specialists can be sought by remote video, with a specialist clinical team overseeing the entire process and treatment carried out in China.
